  as someone who isn’t fully caught up with the marvel lore, i at least expected this movie to be entertaining. instead, i got hit with gen z “cancel culture” jokes, shameless brand promos (kia, honda, jim beam), and levy trying to trademark disney as self aware. every line in this movie felt like disney ‘jokingly’ referencing controversies (don’t say gay act) and throwing in as many nostalgic characters as they can to make use of their new owned corps, exclusively…

  i really liked this! i didn’t rly get it at first and it was a little slow, but when the plot picked up it was really entertaining. i’m not even gna try to explain the dream sequence😭 but it was so stylistically nice and very… wes anderson. some parts of the writing felt kinda like it was trying too hard, but it didn’t take a lot away from the movie. even though his movies aren’t as good as they used to be, this one did feel really personal too. definitely need a second watch. 4/5❤️‍🩹

  sooo bad wtf. script was shit, camera angles were so random and didn’t make sense, and there was barely any real suspense for a suspense movie. everything was just basic and predictable, and seeing what the books ending was supposed to be just shows how bad shyamalan fucked this up. killing of a sacred deer DUPE.
