  I liked what it tried to do!
  Dealing with themes and conversations anyone who has deconstructed their religion or worldview even at a high school level, so nothing too new here, but it's fun to see a movie try to handle that. 
  The front half of the movie feels like a lecture, in both a good and bad way. 

  Not fully a fan of where this ends up, but it's not terrible.

  Unabashedly a fan of this nonsense.

  It's actually crazy watching this for the first time after sinking so much time into the N64 game as a kid. Before watching this you could have gaslit me into thinking the game came first and they made a shitty movie adapting the game. 
  All of the sound effects they use in the game seem to be pulled directly from the sound design here. Just ripped out. Crazy funny work there.

  One of the best films of the year. It moves and shakes, balancing between comedy and ultimately tragedy, though a silent one. 
  Due to never reaching truly anxious heights the viewer can enjoy the ride fully. I was always hoping that Ani would somehow find a clever way out of the situation and gain everything she wants, but halfway through it began to become clear to me this isn't that sort of story.
