Black Widow 2021
Enjoyable enough to watch. But not the fun spy thriller we were promised. Some GCI was extremely rough. Also the whole severing the nerve thing was weird and we didn’t need the bizarre retroactive expositional flashbacks.
Ultimately a film that should have been made a long time ago hampered by sexism and then kneecapped in the present by how out of place it feels.
A better script was deserved. Really she deserved a trilogy.
Florence Pugh is a national treasure. No notes for her.
