A story of a story of a story of a story! Beautiful as always and Wes Anderson’s unique way of tackling the disturbing undertones of the time while also highlighting such a flamboyant character. Was thoroughly excited to see angy Willam Dafoe. This movie makes me further question if Jeff Goldblum can actually act or if he just plays versions of himself in every character.

This provided such an expansive view of the sex work industry and how different it can look. It also sheds light on the discrimination and trauma that can come from the industry especially when considering how harmful it can be to work for the male gaze. I felt the pacing a bit in the middle which is why it lost a point for me but other than that I loved it.

I really loved the discussion this movie provides after you watch it. I also love how Luca portrays yearning and intimacy. The leg touch when Lee is withdrawing, the bids for attention, the silhouette of what he wishes he were doing. However, I felt the pacing and found myself bored. I feel like the movie tried to cram too much into one space.
