Very boring film. It started off strong, with many interesting scenes like the one from the civil rights movement and the one of the Cuban missile crisis. The aesthetic of the era was nailed and Timothee is incredibly handsome as always. However, the interesting parts weren't developed further and it's all a mediocrely paced slog with mostly Bob being a playboy, playing the guitar and finally taking part in useless and forgettable dialogues. Disappointing with the potential wasted.

This is a film about two opposite worlds meeting each other and it's kind of poetic and kind of sad. The plot has some turns towards the end which don't make sense and I feel like it could've been much better (and the crash scene should've just been a black screen c'mon)

Very enjoyable and fairly light-hearted film, with funny moments. The plot has some nice twists and it keeps entertaining to the end. Madonna is really good here, but it would have been nice to have more of her on-screen time

A celebration of the peoples and natural beauty of Siberia.
In this film, man is shown as a character which encroaches upon an established order, not respecting it and sacking, killing and destroying nature without regard.
Not many characters are particularly important in this film : in the end, one will probably just remember the friendship between Arsenev and the charming Dersu Uzala, which was a real figure faithfully represented in this film.
