This movie was okay. There was some genuinely funny quips and Glenn Powell is likeable. But I don’t know if I believe him in the role. I do really enjoy him and Adria Arjona’s chemistry. They are at least fun to watch connect on screen, even if the plot itself is kind of cheesy and corny. This is an odd one from Richard Linklater for me. I couldn’t even feel his imprint. He’s someone who’s know who his dialogue, and…

A Real Pain 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg have such a funny dynamic in this one. Great buddy comedy and road movie as they travel to Poland to trace their grandma’s origins. Short Term 12 2013
Saw this again but for the first time in the theater. My favorite film to this point. It’s anchored by a great performance from Brie Larson. and such a great ensemble cast; who really hadn’t become the huge actors they are now in Lakeith Stanfield, Rami Malek, and John Gallenger Jr. It’s happy, it’s sad. It’s humorous throughout, even though the characters station in life is difficult. Seeing it on the big screen was a treat as I hadn’t see…

After the Storm 2016
Great slice of life film about not living up to society's and your family's expectation. Kore-eda at his best. High rewatchablitly. Really shows us the setting of the place, sprinkled in with Japanese philosophy. We really feel for the father in this movie even as he continues to screw up. The film leaves you with you felt like you gone somewhere and these characters have real steaks.
