  The fact that this flopped at the box office IS an actual tragedy. I can’t recall ever seeing something so crazy immersive on screen. There are countless elements to praise in Babylon but honestly I think my favorite thing about this one is the way it moves. The quick cuts, snappy camera movement, and editing all combine to create something that really feels like you’re there. Damien Chazelle is one of the great directors of our time and he’s only 38.
