  I went in with extremely low expectations and was more than pleasantly surprised. Bleakly funny. Over-the-top gore (both practical effects and tasteful CGI). Not an Oscar winner, but it was *fun*

  This had the bones of a really good movie—after all, the regrets that come with old age truly are the scariest monster, are they not? Would have helped if the script were more coherent and if they were able to license even a single Elvis song.

  People used to know how to make movies. Nighttime scenes lit well! Thousands of extras! Battle scenes filmed on actual physical landscapes! Romantic leads with actual chemistry! It’s over the top, but I really enjoyed it.
