As everyone else has pointed out, it’s basically if 2023 made a Talented Mr. Ripley, which is a good thing. Especially for me because that’s my thing. I actually watched them back to back and Oliver is doing it way better, Tom Ripley is in fact flailing in his efforts for most of that movie and sort of barely escapes by the skin of his teeth (plus they all pick up on his desperation unlike in Saltburn).
