K-19: The Widowmaker 2002
Involving, handsomely produced Cold War submarine drama from the Soviet POV, inspired by true events. Bigelow is a fine director, but her film plods far too often, and falls to familiar Hollywood tropes. Ford and Neeson are serviceable. I’m not sure the film’s big budget included dialect coaches.

The Accountant 2016
More entertaining and less cold blooded than I recalled. Every scene and plot thread weaves nicely. I even believed Affleck’s atypical performance. Good supporting cast.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker 2019
Oddly restless and rushed from the opening seconds. The episodic structure this time was mostly unimpressive. Unsatisfactory character arcs and resolution. Often ridiculous. Some good battle scenes.
Y’all owe Mr. Johnson an apology. I hope he’s laughing at you, right now.
