    Countdown Podcast Scavenger Hunt - Movie #3: Movie featured as part of the Pandemic Film Club


    A fantastic and enthralling detective story spearheaded by the fantastic one-two combo of Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman. Engaging for the entire runtime, and expertly crafted in its direction, cinematography and sound design; this movie was an absolute pleasure to experience (even in my post night shift state of mind). 
    The only thing that holds this back from a higher rating is the plethora of names thrown into the mix that makes the mystery quite hard to follow at times.

    Countdown Scavenger Hunt - Movie #2: A movie featuring someone from Saving Private Ryan (Giovanni Ribisi)

    Unfortunately, the grandeur of this film went straight over my head. Whilst I can appreciate great chemistry, an adeptly written screenplay and the beauty of a sprawling Tokyo metropolis; a lack of engagement in the two leads and a thin storyline filled with malaise as the foundation left me in the cold with Lost in Translation.

    Never has a 14 year old girl felt so relatable. Both for 14 year old me, and 26 year old me. Eighth Grade doesn’t fall into excess or hyperbole; rather opting to focus on the real, more subtle side of adolescence that we can all remember dreading as teenagers. Elsie Fisher is fantastic as Kayla, and Bo Burnham shows once again how talented he is as…
