  I expected a funny culture-clash movie that touched some neuralgic issues in German-Turkish relations and the first part of the movie delivers just that.
  The cinematography was fine, I loved how the languages were dealt with - sometimes with subtitles and sometimes with total gibberish when Turkish people hear Germans talk - brilliant idea!
  But the last part was way too schmaltzy and it generally failed to flesh out the many family characters more. Worth watching in any case and perfect for a rainy Sunday morning!

  Doesn't really know what to do with its insanely attractive cast, among them Carla Gugino, Timothy Olyphant and Emmanuelle Chriqui. Electra Luxx tries to follow the well-tested formula of the ensemble comedy with several plot lines that ultimately cross and/or join, yet here they never actually do in a believable way.
  And that's a real shame because it suffers from "insufficient laughter" on the other end of the scale as well. The movie is not a complete failure though, as…
