“Hi Mr. Billy, again we’re smoking dope (dooope) in your candy shop, in your candy shop.”

This was a roller coaster. Didn’t really know where this movie was going for most of the runtime and that’s what makes it great. It’s funny. It’s erotic. It’s heartbreaking. Twists and turns. Some parts I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to laugh at. I sat in silence for a while after the ending not really knowing what to say. Anora is a…

    “By Grabthar’s hammer…what a savings”

I watched this on a plane with their airline-provided earbuds, so this was like watching a movie play on your phone but through a microwave. Hideous, but what else can you do if your beats won’t connect to the weird little screen?

I don’t have really anything negative to say about this movie. Stacked cast. The script is great. Amazing story. The jokes still hold up. I forgot Justin Long, Sam Rockwell and Sigourney Weaver were in this. Cute little moments for me.

Sarris is cartoonishly evil. Was waiting for him to get wasted the entire time.

“Who’s smiling now you infernal son of a whore?!”

    I liked this. I think.

The Monkey rocks. It’s hilarious, violent, absurd, and gory. I audibly laughed and audibly cringed. It’s what I expected from a Stephen King story. I really enjoyed it up until about the third act where everything kind of fell flat for me. If it kept the tone from the first half of the movie, I’d be talking about this movie like it’s an instant classic. Regardless, it’s still a fun, corny horror flick. Would recommend.
