The Invisible Man 1933
James Whale does such a good job with these movies, man. He’s becoming one of my new favorite directors. The Invisible Man makes the absolute most of its premise with timeless effects that still hold up to this day. Claude Rains makes such an impact in this film without ever showing his face. He’s deliciously evil doing peak mad scientist shit. He also kills so many damn people. I didn’t even know you could kill that many people in movies back then. They just have to get their comeuppance.
