really really beautiful movie
i thought the way they vilified cochlear implants was kind of odd and a little off putting, almost making them seem like this terrible invisible antagonist throughout the movie and especially when he gets them.
that being said, i'm not deaf and i don't know anyone who is deaf, so that's just my opinion. overall, a really amazing movie

how do you spend an entire movie professing love for creative cinema masterpieces and still only be the most generic action movie of all time. especially after explicitly shitting on generic action movies. nick cage wasn't even that good in this movie, pedro pascal was way better
