Hokuriku Proxy War 1977
Everything from the incredible western-like blocking and camera work, to the fun costume design which compliments its oppressively snowy setting, is so fantastically done. A little more theatrical than other Fukasaku films, but it works really well as a send off to his streak of 70s jitsuroku films. Brutal as all hell, and with excellent dialogue and a truly unique Hokuriku setting, it is a one of a kind film in my opinion.

A Woman Is a Woman 1961
Probably my favorite Godard thus far. It is honestly a fun comedy that still holds up today. Love the wacky editing, it's like all the best elements from Breathless turned up to 11. From the way the music randomly cuts out to the insane lighting it is really a chaotic film. Kind of a musical at some points which really fits the tone of the film well. I also liked all the reference to other FNW films like Shoot the Piano Player it is kinda insane how historical and influential this film is in a way.
