The Brutalist 2024
I suspect I didn't connect as much which this as other people have (from what I've heard / read in reviews).
One might think its main flaw would be the runtime, but that is of no issue. The pacing is quite remarkably done. The acting is - as one would suspect glarring over at the cast - also superb, and Corbet installs a bunch of superb shots and cinematography (The superimposition in the beginning, darkening out Attila. Top notch).

In All of Us Strangers , inspired by the Taichi Yamada novel Strangers , Andrew Haigh does a gut-wrenching, but phenomenally accurate job in depicting the pain one feels when losing parents too early, and the even bigger pain one goes through trying to overcome the grief.
The sweeping emotional desperation for one more conversation;
To look back, wishing to reminisce about old, shared memories together.
To look forward, pondering how ones life would've turned out differently with the parents…
