That chase sequence and that dance one were some of the most annoying sequences I've seen in a movie. Aside from that, this movie is pretty solid. Top notch entertainment.

This movie had no business being this good. It could be just another dumb action thriller with nonsensical storytelling and action sequences. But we have Guy Ritchie directing, and he delivered here one of my favorites action thrillers to date. A great revenge film with a badass, somewhat believable anti-hero, played, decently, by Jason Statham.
Also, is it just me, or does this movie has a strong GTA vibe? Specially 5 and Online, with the whole heists thing and the ice cold criminal empire boss who is kinda untouchable, with contacts in the government and whatnot (and the fact that it's set in LA, of course).

At first it looks like it's gonna just follow the cliché (well, it actually does a little) for teen/coming of age movies, but it surprises us by not always remaining obvious. It's a simple and beautiful movie, taking the safe path of not trying to innovate, but at the same time being a somewhat unique experience. And the soundtrack is nothing but perfection. Man, I just love the 80s.
