I have never seen a film that captures the lingo and idiosyncrasies of an AOL chat so perfectly. I was about the same age as Didi in 2008 and all these feelings about getting older and wanting to be cool and being annoyed at your mom but loving your mom and feeling sorry for her and then trying to figure out dating and flirting and friend break ups it brought me back to the anxiety and nostalgia of that time so effortlessly.
