Got to see this at an early mystery screening at my local theatre. Super fun action scenes, and hilarious writing / concept. The villians are a bit annoying, and it is a bit predictable, but the entire theatre was cracking up along with me. One of the best theatre experiences I've had in a long time.

Man, Eggers style is just so weird. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it just feels like it is trying too hard. This could have been a lot better in a two hour run time if it wasn't full of so many moments of un necessary cuts and editing styles. It's meant to build tension, but I never felt any whatsoever. Made the entire pacing just feel bad.

Going into this completely blind I thought I was in for another police story with Cage at the helm, but it quickly devolves into the weirdest trip I’ve ever had in a film. Never before have I felt like I was doing the drugs portrayed on screen along with the characters quite like this.
