This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I’ve seen this movie a million times before, but this time proved it might just be my favorite movie of all time. It’s a nearly perfect movie musical. Patricia Ward Kelly, Gene Kelly’s wife, spoke at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures before the screening and mentioned that people would ask what the point of the movie was. “To bring joy” was Gene’s answer, and that’s what it gives me every time I watch it.
