  A brooding thriller that doesn't really coalesce into anything coherent. Lacked the internal logic for anything to really be tense.

  Nic Cage was fun, but felt a bit out of place, I would have liked if the rest of the film was able to carry some of the bombast he brings to his performance.

  Amazing film that constantly subverts expectations of violence, replacing violent release with humanistic discussion and depth. Brilliant performances, excellent cinematography and soundtrack, and tight pacing that helps the movie never overstay it's welcome. I loved it.
