  Clerks 2 might be one of the most brilliant horror metacommentaries on aging ever produced.

  The scenes which were once a calming black and white are now a garish washed out assault of yellow and purple, the clever pop-culture hypotheticals are now angrier and without wit, the romantic interests are no longer sophomoric and nostalgic, but cruel and nonsensical.   There is nothing more frustrating to me than a film where every major conflict is caused by the protagonists inability to explain things. Some fantastic shots and scenes bogged down by baffling plot twists and dead-end themes.
