Seeking a Friend for the End of the World 2012
Hmmmmmmm….. This movie was full of tropes (manic pixie dream girl 🧚♀️ x depressed corporate man 👨🏻💼) but I do find the way that Keira’s character held a stack of records and wore a rain coat over a dress very comforting in a 2012 tumblr way <3. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this movie or say it was amazing, but I wouldn’t turn my nose up to it on a chilly & rainy day. All of the conflict in the plot didn’t feel strong enough to create an intriguing or engaging story. But hey that’s just me 🤷♀️

I’m fine only seeing this film once, I could’ve done with even more drama and a more consistent tone. The ending was perfectly dark, twisted, and captivating. I just wish the rest of the film was on the same level.
The visuals were beautiful and decadent & I like Jacob’s little gay bangs.
