Your favorite concert movie’s favorite concert movie. I will never get a chance to walk around the Monterey Pop Festival. But I sorta just did?

Pennebaker paints a full portrait of a music festival - talking to not just the musicians but to the staff and the attendees. We get moments of stillness and quiet. So like… what are we doing here?

Like. This is a well made movie. The production design goes above and beyond. The performances are electric and as good as the script allows. It’s a stacked cast - fun movie to say “hey I know that guy!”

But what is this script? Never before has a movie so wished that it was written by Aaron Sorkin. But there has to be a point to that style. You have to have something…
