Phantasm IV: Oblivion 1998
There’s a part in this movie where one of the characters dresses like his character from 20 years ago to kick some ass, and that outfit is his old ice cream man uniform, and I cheered and was like fuck yeah! So that tells you how batshit insane these movies are.

Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead 1994
Dude. The OG trio. Michael, Reggie, and Jody. Yep, Jody is back as one of those little spheres but he's playing for the good guys. And they got the original actor who played Michael back. BIG improvement. There is an awesome badass chick with nunchucks and an absolutely crazy hearse crash. The Tall Man is still harvesting the dead for his alien world. Do they explain why he's doing this? Nope. Is it still weird as fuck? Definitely. Did it end on another cliffhanger? You betcha.
This definitely had a smaller budget than the last one but it's also more fun. These movies are just bizarre.
