Aside from being what I assume to be an accurate and fast-paced depiction of ultra fine dining, Burnt is pretty unremarkable. Extremely well-done macro shots of the food, aside from that, nothing was a stand-out regarding the production. Which is a shame, because I feel like a lot of potential was wasted with Bradley Cooper's ability to portray a hyper-critical (borderline sociopathic) chef.

If someone asked me to use a single word to describe Burnt, it would be rushed. No…

There is 0 doubt in my mind that this film was extremely innovative for its time. Some of the techniques used (i.e. the out of body double on screen, breaking the fourth wall, etc.) were probably unheard of 100 years ago, not to mention Buster doing his own stunts. I have a new appreciation for silent films because of Sherlock Jr., so much is said with the visual storytelling and acting.
