I’m well aware slavery is a crime against humanity and is a horrific thing that should be wiped from the earth, but Olivia de Havilland owning Errol Flynn as a slave is kinda hot

Too short not enough substance — the film needs an additional 30 to 40 minutes of world building. It’s a period piece set during a fascinating period in European history and the entire movie is just these two idiots dueling over and over again. Perhaps show battle scenes of them campaigning for Bonaparte, more military politics, literally any background or character development of Feraud or Laura— we don’t know anything about these characters 

Tbh, the whole movie is just flat and I only enjoyed the last 20 minutes.
