American Psycho 2000
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I really enjoy coming back to this film every few years. I used to read the ending as simply "it was all in his head the whole time" kind of a thing, instead of making a statement about America's cognitive dissonance with all the horrible shit it has to do (exploiting the third world, climate change) to keep food on the table.
When Bateman admits to people about the murders, everyone around him helps him cover it up and carries on as though nothing has happened. His lawyer even claims to have seen Paul Allen in London even though he's not there.

Miles Ahead 2015
Man this is weak...
I just finished reading his autobiography. Miles Davis had a crazy life, he has so many insane stories, this film doesn't make use of any of them.
It gives us a tired story about a tortured artist pining over the one who got away, instead of portraying the real Miles Davis who was quite frankly, a goblin.
