  Loved the premise and mostly enjoyed the conclusion. It maybe got a little one the nose towards the end but Ralph Fiennes was excellent as always.

  Every time they broke out in song I physically sighed and got slightly more depressed. I love the book and the original film, so I was excited. Watching this made me question music as a whole. It made me question if I even like music anymore. A more apt title for this film would be “Matilda the over saturated technicolored nightmare experience.” Emma Thompson was good though.
