Decision to Leave 2022
I’ve never been so misled by the vast majority of Letterboxd members than in this instance. I’ve read around a dozen sterling reviews of this film and am left wondering if we saw the same movie. The soap opera-esqe dialogue, the overly superfluous cut ins and cut outs, the flimsy, disfigured plot. This was shitty Hitchcock with subtitles, capped off with a downright silly ending. I will, from this day forward, look at the aggregate Letterboxd rating in a different light, with a grain of salt attached I wish I never needed

Inside the mind of a killer… a daunting vision. Calculated, icy and cerebral, The Killer would likely have scored higher in my eyes if I had not previously seen Le Samourai.
