This felt like Star Wars. The one where they give a tribute to Han Solo. Except Robert Pattison’s character seemed intellectually disabled. One of them did. Still charming. I enjoyed the unorthodox accent.
Escaping to a different planet. Faced with the same problems. Greed and power hovering and manipulating love.
I had fun. Weirdly excited from the jump. A memorable experience in the turtle creek mall.
The fact that some of the formally incarcerated prisoners were playing themselves makes me understand the quality of acting better. I couldn't tell if they were in prison or theater camp. It didn’t strike a chord for me. This is a great concept of something that I think would have been better as a musical or play. Or maybe a movie if they dug into the conflict more.
The mfer could dance, that’s for sure. Costumes, set design, choreography, and music are all top notch. I wish I could go back in time and see Gene Kelly perform it live.
