Certainly, Dune: Part Two delivers stunning visuals and epic moments, but for me, it all feels too sterile and cold. Yes, Arrakis itself feels cold to me—I can't feel the scorching heat or the abrasive sandstorms. I can only acknowledge the danger posed by the planet, its environment, and the looming cosmopolitan threat on a narrative level, but I don't actually feel it. Twin Peaks 1989
The first season of Twin Peaks hasn't convinced me so far. Artificial dialogues and an unbalanced narrative rhythm cloud the picture.
Still, I can see the peculiar fascination the series exerts — with its occasionally very bizarre characters and moments.

Dune wird von Hintergrundgeschichte, Erklärungen & Exposition erdrückt. Es bleibt zu wenig eigene Geschichte und eigener Spannungsaufbau. Die postimperialistischen Motive, Fragen der Machtpolitik des offensiven Realismus in internationalen Beziehungen und der Eigendynamiken politischer & religiöser Ideologien bleiben noch sehr schemenhaft. Dune ist der Einstieg in ein Universum. Die Konfrontation und Auflösung der Handlung dürfen wir dann hoffentlich im kommenden Sequel[s] erleben.
