Honestly, just watched this so I could have an excuse to increase my number of 1 star ratings. Watching 3’s and 4’s gets kinda boring after a while so I thought “why not switch it up a bit, eh?”

Black Mirror: Beyond the Sea 2023
Setting aside the fact that I’m not crazy about the premise, this episode would have been much more interesting if it was from the wife’s perspective.
Not knowing who is inhabiting your husband’s replica at any given time would make for some really meaningful drama and might even instill some of the dread that early Black Mirror was known for.

Magnetic Rose: Far and away the best short out of the three. The usage of liminal space in Eva’s palace keeps you on the edge of your seat, constantly wondering where this is all going to lead. Haunting opera music helps maintain the creepy atmosphere and the Magnetic Rose herself is quite unnerving. Has the most to say about the downsides of clinging on to memories, but I love how open to interpretation the ending is.
