Retreads the same ground as the first and just didn't bring anything new to the table. I never got the connection to any of the characters in this one like in the first. It wasn't as tight if a narrative. While I realize the first wasn't historically accurate, they took way too many needless liberties with this one.

The characters are alright, the premise is interesting, and there are some touching moments. But the horror element isn't really present, some really obviously and poorly integrated cg throughout the entire movie, and needless fan service. Hollywood should do some soul searching to figure out why the first two films were great and stop trying to make an "Alien" film filled with cliche and cheap nostalgic moments.
