I craved some shlocky 90’s action so I put on Bad Boys II and quickly realized that was a bad decision. This movie is infinitely cooler.

Goofy and really really well directed and smart when it wants to be. I do fear that this movie ruined leather dusters for everyone who is into that sort of thing. There’s no way you can wear one and not look like Morpheus right?

The slickest movie I’ve seen in a long time. Filled with fun thrills and a stellar cast. It’s Agatha Christie kind of plotting makes for a great time.

Soderbergh knows he doesn’t have to reinvent the wheel and that’s why it works. It sure is a cool wheel though.

God this is such a good rewatch. It’s really really exciting to watch Peele become the filmmaker he is today- he’s going full Kubrick and I’m all here for it.

So thought-provoking, layered, and legitimately horrifying. Everything involving Jupe is nightmare-inducing.

There are about 2/3 different stories in here that are kind of mushed together (the cue cards separating each “section” kind of speaks for itself). Wish it was a little more cohesive and we felt more of OJ/Emerald’s journey but I still love it.

Saw it on the Dutch Kills Green in Queens as a part of A24’s Public Access. One of the best viewing experiences I’ve ever had- watching such an NY based movie with the actual smell of the air and the ambience of the movie around you is incredible.

Visually, this film is outstanding. Its dark without overdoing it, its telephoto shots are never the wrong type of shaky, and the style is impeccable.

Robert Pattinson and Benny Safdie are…
