I’m right on the fence with this one. The movie felt loooong. It did pick up some for me toward the end but if I had been watching this at home I probably would’ve given up and lost interest before it got to be any good. Great acting and I’m all on board for that. Honestly my big peeve is that I couldn’t really root for either of these people. I think you’re supposed to be rooting for the man…

I don’t know how they managed to get this cast for this but this movie feels oddly out of touch. This is fine as a kids first Halloween movie I suppose. I guess someone might like it in a nostalgic sort of way.

I absolutely adored every moment of this. Fabulous soundtrack. This is flawless. It’s sweet and dark and has all these little nods at other things that I appreciate. It felt like they wanted tonight tonight by smashing pumpkins but strange worked well too if not maybe better?? Who knows. The soundtrack is dope. I wish Hollywood would give us more like this. <3
