seeing this sober was a choice.
pretty in a film school way. shot and paced like an abc drama. way too grotesque for its own good. for a movie so vehemently against the exploitation of children, it sure does take every opportunity to place any real child actor in a compromising physical position for the sake of shock value.
(I don't even want to spoil it, but there is something so incendiary said during the film's final call to action that you almost have to see it to believe it.)
