    The Stepford Wives

    ★★★

I wasn't aware this was a remake! Feels disappointingly defanged on the social commentary in a way that I'd imagine the original isn't. Still, has a great cast and made me laugh.

    The Lord of the Rings

    ★★½

To honor the one-year anniversary of my wife and I visiting Hobbiton in New Zealand we decided to take a trip back to Middle Earth by watching The Lord of the Rings animated film for the first time.

    ★★★½

A short but sweet portrait of loss, friendship, family, and yes, pain. Feels a little stagey at times, but A Real Pain ultimately pulls through and delivers an effective and occasionally touching story of two cousins searching for a new way forward together, thanks to good performances and convincing chemistry from Eisenberg and Culkin.

Funny to me that I couldn't decide which character I was most alike, but I suppose that means I could relate to them both! I must be (wait for it)... a real pain (roll credits).
