Borderlands 2024
I can see where all the money went: big name actors, special effects, costumes, etc. Sadly none of it translates into a remotely entertaining or competent movie. Jokes constantly miss, performances are half-assed, dialogue in general is awful, plot is beyond cliche, action is mid. The editing was especially awful with just baffling awkward choices made left and right. The Borderlands coat of paint is there on the most superficial level.
I don’t find the games to be funny or well written either, but I’d say this is considerably worse.
Jack Black does a decent Claptrap impression.
