Beautifully filmed piece of media. This film disturbed and bothered me immensely. As much as I liked it, I can understand how some people don’t get it. It provides a tragic metaphor for repression of queerness, and I think at least to some degree this film will always hit harder for queer people even though the repression theme can be applied to many aspects of life. really great cinematography, sadly the end was very anti climactic and predictable. a lot of potential missed with making the “twist” a basic, obvious theme instead of something more psychological and disturbing like i was expecting. a lot of questions left unanswered, and not in a cliffhanger way, just an unsatisfying way.
