  This is what people who hate musicals think they sound like. 

  Absolutely garbage, but I felt compelled to watch the entire thing. This is like witnessing a car crash, you know you shouldn’t be looking at it but you don’t want to turn away because of morbid curiosity. 

  I will give this film a little bonus because of the Tom Lehrer reference. I’m shocked anyone besides me even knows about him.

  Perfect for what it needed to be. The acting was phenomenal, the tone was perfectly tense, and the mystery was fun.

  The movie was perfect and I was extremely invested, but once both Mickeys got thrown into the cub jails I felt like all the wit and emotion disappeared. Nothing about the Creepers circling the ship or Mark Ruffalo’s punishment/tirade felt as emotional or engaging as what had come before. Even during the conclusion I don’t think I ever got fully reinvested in the story or reattached to Mickey like I did in the first two acts. 

  Also, Robert was amazing! He remains in my top 5 favorite actors working today. He carried a lot of the film and I’m glad to see he’s still doing unique rolls.
