  The plot and why the characters do what they do doesn't make much sense to me at times. What do I know? I'm not French. I've never seen a Vadim flick before but I gotta say there's some very pretty shots and some good blocking. I watched this initially just because I wanted to see what Brigitte Bardot is all about, and it's a shame because while she is of course very beautiful, that acting do be lacking. Overall it is worth watching though imo if only because this is the movie that made her famous worldwide.
