  There are many great things about this film. The acting, the lighting, the commitment to scale and historical accuracy. But something that really stuck out to me is its ability to be nightmarish and surreal, while also being completely grounded in and present in what is happening. Early into film there is a feeling of “this is wrong and it can’t be happening”, and it keeps going until the end. It’s impressive it captures that feeling for so long. I…
