    One of my most adored expressions of love in film.

    Cried significantly more during this second watch than the few tears I shed during my first (likely since that was on an airplane). I think I fell even deeper in love with this movie and the great Greta Gerwig as a director (if that’s even possible)

    2025 Oscar Nominated Short Films – Live Action #5

    Oh my god. This story was beautiful. Litha is incredibly sweet and brave and has a heart so big and wild. I innately felt her deep and unwavering connection to the environment and it affirmed my commitment to conservation over and over again. I sobbed like a baby throughout the second half of the film and for 10 minutes after. My favourite of the 5 short films. It’s incredibly well shot and its storytelling is tender and heartbreaking.

    Wow. This was BEAUTIFUL. I found the tiff top 10 film through a random ad on Instagram, and was immediately intrigued. By everything, but ESPECIALLY for the special Q&A after the screening with director Soon-Yin Lee and cartoonist Chester Brown, who wrote the original graphic-novel. Extra special because this adaptation follows the end of THEIR long-term relationship, Chester’s journey with non-romantic sexual relationships and Soon-Yin’s story and reflection on it all.
