“Wonka” was the perfect amount of whimsical. Felt like I was watching something from my childhood. And the use of “Pure Imagination” was sublime - got a tear out of me.

Using nuclear armageddon as its premise to kick start the bizarre turn of events and character choices results in a discombobulated, wasted film that doesn't use its main character, the I.S.S, effectively.

Amazing what love and reverence for the genre can do when you push the envelope a little far without somehow being gratuitous and boring.
Stock teenage characters (who kind of have it coming), wildly inventive and hard "R" kills, enough tension to remind you of awkward Thanksgivings, with a touch of self-awareness as the cherry on top to fill up the ever-growing list of horror-based holiday films.
