  I am afraid that the story behind the making of this movie is coloring people's attitudes towards it. Nonetheless, this is still a good movie and one that is worth seeing. The cinematography and the acting are top notch at times. However, this movie has multiple storylines that are not fully developed. This is still a pretty good movie with a lot to say about family, capturing political unrest in the digital age, and living under an autocratic regime. However, this movie simply fell short of the expectations.

  All We Imagine as Light is one of the most beautiful movies I have seen this year. This movie is a beautiful depiction of cross generational friendship. The movie also does a great job of capturing the general ennui that comes with living in a big city. The score and cinematography make the most mundane moments seem interesting. This is simply one of the most beautiful movies of the year.
