  Drive My Car 2021

  2nd time around- I totally forgot a few plot points but I had read Murakami’s Men Without Women after watching it the first time. The short stories (I’m not sure if all of it was used?) tie in very well.

  I can also confirm that:

  - I still want a Saab.
  - Tagalog is spoken here (which is a curious choice? Colonialism perhaps??)
  - The OST is still wonderful, melancholic, and uplifting.

  Letting this sit for a bit-

  I am, however craving wild wasabi and udon tho and for that, this gets a 10/10.

  Edit 1: also wanted to point out that Eiko Ishibashi does the OST and I really enjoyed her work in Drive My Car (a movie that also got me obsessed looking at Saabs on FB Marketplace)
