    Here’s the thing. There was nothing terribly wrong with the movie, but really nothing about it got me either? 

    It’s perfectly coherent, and worked as the backstory to Helm’s Deep, but it just felt thoroughly unoriginal. Very much a re-tread of LOTR tropes and dialogue cliches, without offering anything new or original, while at the same time not making good use of the fact that it’s in that universe.

    I honestly don’t know what to say about this one, because the film speaks so concisely for itself. 

    From the very beginning, every shot is so incredibly striking, and so rich with meaning. The opening extended shot of the star told a whole story on its own.

    Grotesquely beautiful 

    This film was something special, having me in a chokehold from the very first scene, and thrusting me right into this story. 
    It’s such a timeless telling of the story, where the movie doesn’t specifically feel like it was made in 2024, you just feel like you’re in 1838 and forget everything else.
