The Brutalist 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I am always extremely wary of a film that has this level of almost group-think-esque critical hype, but I have to say I was really impressed.
Despite the relatively limited budget, for me this is Hollywood at its best – a beautiful, epic, immaculately produced, complex character study that echoes PTA’s There Will Be Blood and The Master in its critique of American capitalist idolatry.
The length was not an issue for me – there was enough substance to warrant it…
